An HCI Thanksgiving

November 26th, 2004 by Tom Chi :: see related comic

As is the tradition in the States, during Thanksgiving, we say what we are thankful for. So on that note, OK/Cancel would like to thank everyone who helped us make the site excellent in 2004.

Thanks of course to Don Norman for writing his “Ask Don” columns, and Carolyn Snyder for her guest article on growing up HCI. Thanks to Jared Spool for inviting us to UI9 and Elizabeth Dykstra-Erickson for helping us attend CHI 2004. Thanks to all the gurus who took the humor in stride, especially Tufte, who somehow managed not to sue us.

And of course, thanks to all our readers who enrich the site with excellent discussions of current HCI issues, like “HCI in OSS” and “why the boy in panel 1 has no legs”.

OK/Cancel is a comic strip collaboration co-written and co-illustrated by Kevin Cheng and Tom Chi. Our subject matter focuses on interfaces, good and bad and the people behind the industry of building interfaces - usability specialists, interaction designers, human-computer interaction (HCI) experts, industrial designers, etc. (Who Links Here) ?
